Greetings.

Imagine for a moment that your life is a dot in a geometrical grid consisting of lines crisscrossing in all sorts of indiscernible directions.  Imagine that the line you’re on is your path, or your future if you will.  You follow this path, until you get to an intersection and embark on a new path, for better or worse.  The paths you choose determine where you end up, like a maze.  The reality is, our lives are not much different, and we can find ourselves lost and alone with any wrong turn.  What would it look like if we had other lines, like ours, that followed with us like bumpers in a bowling ally, not allowing that dreaded gutter ball to happen.  Wouldn’t it be great if that could translate over to real life?  This is precisely why we developed a new kind of Church service, called Parallels, literally 'alongside one another.'

C.S. Lewis once wrote, “If Christianity is wrong, it is of no importance; if right, infinite importance.  The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”  Community, as a part of Christianity, is therefore very important.  Which is why we have geared the service towards building and strengthening relationships and making those gutter balls less frequent.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • What does Para||els mean?
          Para||els is the concept of aligning ourselves to Christ and each other through community.
  • What sort of service is Para||els?
          Para||els is a service that allows you to come completely as you are, and worship in your own way.  We all have diverse backgrounds, and we encourage you to worship however you best worship.

          We do not have a demographic age group for the service.  We believe we're creating something different, that eliminates some boundaries... Age being one of them.  God has a way of meeting us all where we are at in our lives, no matter what age we are.
  • What sort of music can I expect to hear at Para||els?
          We're dedicated to contemporary worship music that speaks truth.  We have a list of music that we've compiled over the years that you can view here: Para||els Music.
  • What time does Para||els start?
          To take a line from Gandalf, "The service starts precisely when it means to."  Basically at 6:00 PM, but Para||els is a very flexible service.  So it could start a little late from time to time.  You're welcome to show up any time after 5:30PM (Any time before that we're still working on sound checks and setting up).  The service is generally over around 7:00 PM, but you're welcome to stay and hang out with us afterwards.
  • How do I get to New Creation Church?
          It's pretty simple, North on 74 until you hit Dover (hopefully not literally) and turn left on Emig Mill Road.  The Church is not even 5 minutes down the road on the Right (2nd stop sign).  Or, if you're a map person, this link will redirect you to our 'How to Find Us' page: Link.
  • How do I get involved with Para||els?
          There are numerous ways to get connected.  By simply attending the service, you are part of it!  Fact!  (In)Fact, you can get involved musically if you would choose to do so with a variety of percussion instruments available to you.  If you would like to get involved with a ministry within the service such as hospitality, child care, or the praise team, talk to any staff member and we will redirect you to who you need to talk to!
