About Us
We are a United Methodist Church.
The history of New Creation Community Church goes back to the 1840's when some families joined together in homes for prayer and worship. In 1851 this group of families erected the first church house in the village of Dover. The church continued to grow and later merged to become Otterbein United Methodist Church. In 1989 the congregation relocated to its present location and a new larger facility. After a fire in 1995, the present building was built.
In 1999, the congregation voted to change the church's name from Otterbein to New Creation Community Church to reflect its growing passion to create those points of contact between the living God and the Dover community.
In May of 2006 we celebrated a recommitment to that original vision, and are now in the first of a three year plan to equip the saints of God to live before our community and the world as a servant community.
